Growing Good Things
Summer's the season when gardens show us what patience and care can do.
If you've got a plot of land—or even just a pot on the porch—you know that feeling when something you planted finally bears fruit. There's real magic in it. You put in the work early on, water through the dry spells, pull out what doesn't belong, and then one day you're picking tomatoes or beans or whatever you chose to grow.
That's the kind of work that teaches you something. It teaches you that good things take time. That you can't rush nature. That showing up, even on days when the sun's hot and you're tired, makes all the difference.
Whatever you're growing this summer—in soil or in life—keep at it. The harvest comes to those who tend it well.
“Come tell me what you're growing this summer—I'd love to hear about it.” — Uncle Sam
